Novarossi wont run long?

I recently bought a Rod Gerhity Novarossi in a used hull and it ran good the first night but I messed with the third needle and now cant seem to get a lap out of it.Ive tried to richen it click by click and its open about 3 turns out is this usual? or more out or in?Ive removed the 3rd needle trying to eliminate problems.So now I have only one inline needle.Ive done the glow plug,cleaned the needle,Checked the hoses and have good pressure.Pipe is OPS at 8.5 inches.Right now I can start the motor and throw it in make a lap and it dies.As Ive richened it It goes farther but it seems so rich its hard to keep going.Keep going richer?Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

I have a NovaRossi 21. One day i ran it pretty lean on a tank of gas. The next tank i couldnt get the boat to go more than 20 feet. I changed the plug, cheacked all the lines everything. I would richen it to the max on my third needle wouldnt run i would lean it and still wouldnt run. Turns out it was my bearings. I dont know if this is the case but it worth looking in to.
