Thanks for the tips guys, I have the clearance set at 0.006" and the pipe at 8". Now I just need to get some time off to test to new setup.

David, thanks for the flow numbers. I was considering restricting the water flow to build some heat. I'll set it close to 100.

bearing check is a good point...pipe at 8" is too long for the nova. when i was running my 21 ninja i had a 3280 ops pipe set at 3 1/4 from the center of the engine, but the best pipe was an andy brown muffled pipe he used to sell marks 1450 prop and 65% nitro that boat was a screamer.
