Recieved mine yesterday and it is beautiful . One thing I noticed right away was the keyed lower rod bushing to prevent spinning in the rod . Need some exhaust bushings ( seals) and a carb and will be ready to test . Very nice engine !

Keyed rod bushings are good news!

Little things like this is the real world information I'm waiting on before I pull the trigger. Wanting to hear of some actual run comparisons against old school motors, and see some wear pattern results after break in etc.

For me personally, I am on the wait and see
train, as jumping off into another line of motors means capital expenses laid out for backup parts etc.

I am pleased to announce that the K45 marine engine and parts are now also available through StumpFab and Double Ace.

I have received several reports from the people who have bought the new K45 engines and every report has been positive.

What is everyone using for a carburetor on this engine? Was on the fence about buying one, they look very nice.

I am using a Rod Geraghty carb desiged for a Picco 45. One person is using an old CMB carb.

Speedmaster is maing some carbs. There are other companies that make carbs.

In my opinion a carb bore of 0.35" to 0.39" would best. for most conditions.
