ML Boatworks GM-480 Gas Race Mono glass hull design has begun

Well, I have begun designing my own race gas mono. This will be glass, with carbon layup once the plugs and molds are made. I have already finished all the frame lofting, and have some other things to finish up the laser cut kit that will make the plug. This is just a sneak peak of what is to come. This is slow going, but will definitely be happening. Should be fun to see this one from start to finish. Here is a teaser! Mike

Henkie, Are you asking, I guess, will I be offering a wood kit of this hull?

Yes that's what i was asking. Sorry i typed it to difficult.

I dunno yet man. I am building the current framing up very strong so that it will hold its form very well for mold making. I guess if there was a lot of interest in a wood version, I would definitely consider doing so. The Wild Thing 45 never really sold...at all, so I was kind of avoiding another mono kit.

I think Fiberglass is the way to go with a mono. I like the lines. What vee angle?

John, I will pm you the vee angle info. Don't really want to disclose any of that yet. it will be fiberglass tho for sure, with Carbon.

Well, this is crazy, apparently 3 years ago I started this project..Well, its finally come to fruition! I got the plug made, molds made, and first hull out of the molds this week. Let me share some pics in progression.
