Sorry guys, looks like a crappy day down there... :(
Just talked to Julian, they're at the pond setting up for 1/3rd mile oval ...... in the rain. He said right now it's not too bad but if the forecast I saw holds they're gonna get heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Word has it they bought him a pink rain poncho to wear today. :p

So a single 45 beat twin 101's Good run fellas!!! Is this usual for a single to beat twins???
No magic here.......

Simple physics and the application of "Flat Plane Technology"...... <_<
Kroggs, Each class & style of boats have there respective class to obtain a Record.......... the record trials must be advertised for time & location of the event. it is open to all members... come on down & show them how it is done IF you have the equipment?? It does require a Good Fast Boat & Some EXCELLENT DRIVING.. IT IS THERE RECORD TILL YOU BEAT IT!!!!!!!

I just got a call from Truex at pondside in Huntsville........the water is flatter than a plate of pee and the records are falling......

Truex set the 1/3 mile 2 lap in "D" [7.5] hydro...at 17.158 [i believe this # is right] and he said there is more there.....

He is working hard top get back in the water for some more passes before the wind starts to blow.......

David Hall also set the "N" & "P" tunnel records but I didn't get a time on those....I will post Davids times later.......

Julian was within 1/2 second of the twin 1/3 mile 2 lap record....

Kroggs remember power to weight ratio I have a boat that is x2 maybe 4 times the weight and size of martin boat. But we both were hauling the mail. We have set some good records and we both are having a blast. That's what's it all about. We are still going to try to improve our times tomorrow. These Sholund props are getting the job done this roadrunner is smoking fast with CMB 101 RS power with zoom carburetors it's a rocket.

We will see what happens tomorrow

Julian
Julian I'm sorry I meant no disrespect, I just should have used my words different... I was just asking a question on how a twin compares to single engines... I realize the time and effort to get a hull running and the money that goes into them as I can't even get the cash for my 12 going.... Sorry again and go get some more records!!!!!

Well it was raining pretty good bit that did not stop us from running. My twin ran flawless I had the tubes in the sponson started to come loose plus the rear boom tube snapped and that was all she wrote. I took no offense to your comments. You are good.

The zoom carburators performed flawless thanks to David Wilfong for the work he put in to make the carbs fit my 101 Twin. I have to thanks the Huntsville club once again it was a flawless an we had a very good time. I wanna thank Charles Perdue those carbs are 100% better on CMB 101's.

Once again I want to thank the roadrunner crew Joe Warren, chuck simmons, ralph almirola and jose ortiz for giving me advice on what to do to the twin over the phone to lower my 1/4 mile oval to a 16.67 I came very close to the 1/3 mile but there will be a next time.

Mark bullard thank you for the fuel I could not have done it without you and your advice on motor running too. We have some of the best people here at Huntsville that are willing to help out and help one another to make records fall.

Mark Sholund all I can say is those h667 are like holy **** brace yourself. The best props as service is a AAA +++

This roadrunner 101 zoom powered twin Its a rocket and performed perfect everytine i drive it keeps suprising me everytine foley

watch your back.

Yes I wore a pink poncho but underneath that poncho was a glock 45 with hallow points don't be fooled by the pinky my friends.

Julian sounds like you have the props to get off the Corners quickly on the 1/4 mile run. You going to need some bigger props to get the 1/3 mile record. Need to pull out a little longer before it runs out of prop. Mark sholand can add some to the H667 Or get him to build you a set of 2916`s pitched up.....

i was having issues turning the boat and it was a result of a Cracked rear boom tube that broke during my run i lost control on the turn and the Twin went to a buoy and to the air.. mark and I are working on some props for the next record trials we are going to try some of those props also..
