I'm no weather man, but it looks like the weather is staying slightly west of the race site and heading mostly north and very slightly further to the west.

Its a very strange weather pattern, but we will take it!

Final Results?
Results of the weather shortened race below. We really were lucky Saturday to have such nice weather. Sunday was a different story and we had to pack it up. We stopped Saturday after heat 48 and didn't run Sunday.

Thanks to all that came to race or watch, and thanks to our club members who helped setup the weekend and Friday before and then tear down Sunday both times in the rain.

Phil,

It's very possible that you'll get to run there next year. Everyone there ( the mayor, the parks board, the camp ground management and the local tourism board) loved what we did. They want to start discussing improvements to the site to make it better for the model boaters.

YEA!.. thats great news!

The city is currently working on a grant to pave the entire walk around the lake. However, the outlook is a little grim at the moment to do the whole thing. For the moment, we're going to focus on the driver's stand and wait to see what happens with the grant for the paving. If it falls through, Then we'll make a request to concrete a small section to suite the model boaters.

The mayor did say that they had a limited budget and that the weather last weekend was the best they could afford.

Hey,

Its a great place to race and to have local support is awesome. I am happy with just another place to race. I dont believe there is any other place in District 4 that is willing to try and help our loved hobby. It was really cool to see 50-100 spectators and news and radio there also.

Paul
