Go old school and make the rear boom tube thru the tub adjustable, up and down. Can shim up or down to change ride angle.

Yes I have a block installed to do that if need be.
That is the way Stu's record boat was built.
Want to run it as designed first to see what it dose.

Yes thy are what was sent with the kit.
The front measures 6" from tube center to tip and 2 3/8 wide.
The boom spread is what I make it no tubes come with the short kit.
The tubes are 3/8".
I will hold them in place with collar clamps on both sides of the tub and on both sides of the sponsons.
This way I can change the spread and off set at will any time with out making new tubes.

OK got them all finished.
Just have to put the carbon / Kevlar cloth on them.
The I will line them up and put the tubes in them.
Will use one lone tube for each hole between them and then cut them apart after thy cure.
will do one side of each tonight. If it cures fast enough my do both sides.

Almost done.......
Will cut the tubes and clean them up and see what I got.
I am going to try some thing different on the tubes and clamps.
I will leave about 1/16 of the tube out side if the sponson on both sides.
This way I can make sure I have a good bond with the tube and the out side skin. The tube will not depend on the foam to hold it in place.
Then I will use the clamps on both sides of the sponsons and cut a small recess in the face of them so the clamp dose not hit the tube.
This way all the side force will be on the sponson sides and not the tube.
Will see if the brain storm works out....LOL

No I got it from Zip Kits.
It is the .45 cowl that is the reason for the aluminum plate in the front.
It fills the gap and holds the front of it down.
I also put the eng back some to get the CG and the fin location further back on the boat.

So how wide is to wide???????
I am going to cut the tubes to start at 27" inside to inside on the sponsons.
I can change it at will any time and try different spreads and off set set ups.
Can do it by just moving the clamps at the pond as I test.
Will also try different turn fins.
