Jackson Tenn - Spring Shootout JUNE 7/8

Guys,

The Jackson RC Boat Modelers and the Memphis R/C Boat Club will be hosting Jackson's Spring Shootout.

All IMPBA classes will be run with a 3-boat minimum to make a class.

The Jackson facility is about as good as gets and this promises to be a great race once again.

I have attached the race flier with information.

Frequencies will be allocated on first entry received basis. Enter now and come join the fun.

hey charlie,i have reserved a room at the super-tel motel and the contact you have listed is no longer there,but they said today anyone at the front desk would be able to assist.i have reserved a block of rooms for us guys and familys here in knoxville who will be coming.and by the way the rate she said would be 55.00,per.night.half price than atlanta.

Along with offering all IMPBA classes, we will have Open-Hydro, Open-Mono, and Open-Offshore.

Just got the nod from my wife B-Sport Tunnel,sport 40 Scale and a 20 boat of some kind. I love Jackson and my wife loves to shop there. .........Mikey

and probably give jackson's off shore a try,maybe even open mono,if i don't die of exhaustion first.

I sent the flyer back today.Unless I tear something up before the race,I'll be bringing a B mono,sport 40,and 1/8 scale.

Haven't raced at Jackson, and am looking forward to being there.

Cliff & I will be there with a BRANDSpankin New ROADRUNNER TWIN with Picco 80`s. IT WILL BE IN POND PATROL. MAY JUST LET THE KID DRIVE IT A FEW ROUNDS. Just to scare the sxit out of the remaining Competition!! I`ll be on the drivers stand with my eyes closed tightly!! :lol: :lol:

Hey Mark,

Mark Hopper (El Presidente) is receiving the entry forms to get everyone set up in the race software.

Mark has received several entries already, but as usual, lots of the guys wait until the last minute to sign up.

The deadline is May 31st., 2-weeks from today.

We have always had a good turn out and our race site is about as good as it gets.

There is a lot of room for folks that like to drive out in the north-40, or newby's that need a little extra room.

The drivers stand is well situated to see the entire lake with stairs on both ends for heavy traffic.

I think you'll enjoy running with us.

I'm looking forward to meeting you. Be sure to look me up.

Hey Mark,

I spoke to Mark Hopper last Thursday. He said he had received a few more entries, but this week would be the real key. He had told me before that his experience was, most of the guys wait until the last second to register.

Our cut-off date is May 31, Saturday so we will know then whether we have enough entries to make a race. Then we can order our tropheys and full steam ahead. I hope we can make it happen. We need to keep racing alive in this area, but we need everyone's participation to make it work.

I wish I could give you a better answer, but we just have to wait for all the entries to get in.

I will post, probably Saturday afternoon, after I have heard from Mark.
