Yo Mark,

The hardware is Speedmaster. The consolidated bracket you see in the picture weighs a hair less than the separate Brackets with an additional 2 blind nuts and 6-32 hex fasteners for the strut and rudder that is available :)

4 lbs 3oz for a heat race setup? anyone?

The clear is on pretty thick........I didnt want to leave any paint on those pretty orange bouys we have; so I decided to add an "armor coat" of clear :p

thanks for the feedback.

The prop on it now is a 50x69

Don,

I just finished setting up the radio equip so it's pretty much ready to run. I'll stop by the race about 12:00 but I have to be in Gloucester at 3:00 for a funeral so I can’t stay and play this time :(

I'll bring it with me to see if I can solicit some feedback on setup

Thanks,

KB

Kevin,

The weight is fine. KP was running 70 with a 5lb boat 10 years ago. As for running in the 60's...............................if that's what you want then that is fine. Go by what KP says and you should easily be around 70.

And as for the motor mount issue.

I have resolved that with a modified Speedmaster mount. I would have to talk to Bill McGraw before I made the entire mount to sell because I am not going to step on any toes (that's a first  ). I don't want to copy his harware or sell anything that he may offer in the near future. However, I don't see why I couldn't sell the new rails to use with his mount.

Very nice boat, Kevin.

Interesting how you ran the water line on the outside of the hull. I don't think I have ever seen that before. Why?

Don

Hi Don,

Thanks for the compliment :)

The main reason I ran the water outside was that space in the radio box was at a premium. And I didn’t want to mess with two more potential leak spots in the box :)

Other than that...just because it seemed easier

KB - I just sent you a PM about 2 minutes ago. Did you get it?

Tim.

I got to see Kev's boat close up this weekend as he brought it to the last club race. He definitely did a nice job on it & with a couple very minor tweaks that Preston & I shared with him he should be flyin' B)

One big advantage to being in our club, is the good advice that can be drawn from you guys.

Thanks again,
