Hey Andy,

Have a look here: http:// www.marinestadium.org I wouldn't hold your breath that there will be any boat racing there soon. This has been talked and talked about for years. All it takes is MONEY.

Perry isn't easy, but he can be had. Taunt him with Shorty's Bar-B-Q. We left Markham Park during 2006 NAMBA Nats talking as we headed towards Shorty's When we noticed aircraft about to flair and land at Ft. Liquordale Airport. Hummmmmm. It became obvious that we had passed University by a bunch. Both being olde sea dogs - we were able to navigate our way through the toolies and found Shorty's with only a short delay. Har, Har !!! CHEERS !!! Bob

Bob : you sure know my soft spots and Shorties bbg is one of them. They opened one near me but it closed within a few months. I think too many people were drowning in the corn butter. Ha!Ha! Just in case you and the other guys interested in big hydros haven't noticed my son Mark has now taken over our picture collection dating back to the late 40's, He is posting them little by little on face book. We have my brothers collection when he ran the company "Speed and SPRAY PROMOTIONS". You might remember when the three unlimiteds crashed at the Presidents Cup in the late 60's we had the sequence of photos in the center section of Life Magazine. We also have Grace and Art McDougalls collection that was left to me when they passed on. Next we were left "Big Dave Ziporo's collection that he left to me when he went to be with the lord our God a few years ago. I miss Dave alot as he was my right hand and Crew Chief for over 60 years. Hard to believe but with out him I wouldn't have made it. He as a very special guy and never got the credit he deserved. A fellow racer from years ago mentioned to Steve Webster of current unlimited fame that without Big Dave none of my boats would ever have started a heart. There is a lot of truth to that statement.. So all this said and done look for the pictures on Mark Walter's facebook. Many of them are unmarked and even though we were there we forget the names and owners of the boats. We could use help in identifying them. Bye for now. God bless, Perry
