Hey Mark,

I don't have a results sheet but I got 3rd in 67 rigger after a mixed weekend with it and, drum roll please, 2nd in 23cc petrol mono!!!!! Thanks To Mike G for lending me the boat to drive!

I had a problem with one of the sponson tubes on the FF21 but gave it a run in practice with your H4 and it flat hauled @ss! The air density was over 100 all weekend so conditions were real good for power. Easily the fastest 21 rigger there. Look out for this boat at the US internats and NAMBA nats in the hands of Ian (Nitrocrazed).

Tim.

Well, I won 67 hydro, but the boat was slow and I need to make a new pipe. I also had some engine troubles but thanks to Brett Ward I was able to borrow a P&L! B)

I came 3rd in 90 hydro, but at least I got that pipe sorted! Pity I left all my other props at home!

Aaron won 45 hydro by showing some self control! :p Had bad luck with his 67 tho. :(

The FF21 was awesome! I cant wait!

Tim's 67 was pretty quick too, but he had poor luck with it.

Mike G's rigger looked good until it blew off...

I had a great time! What a fantastic venue and people! I'll be back next year! B)

I wouldn't call that 90 rigger "SLOW".

Paul "ozzy" got 2nd in 90 rigger and 45 rigger.

Who is that launching it?  Maybe the driver thought he needed a shower!

I stayed dry all day,,,,,until then, last heat of the day and of course the coldest part of the day as well! At least you got proof!!!!! B)

I got 2nd in gas Tunnel.

Missed first in Gas mono by 2 buoy cuts, ended with nothing. Tim was out of first place by 50 points, his was tied for 2nd and got it by fast heat time with a boat that was not properly broken in yet! Preperation was not as good as I would have liked.

Great weekend though, very stress free. My rigger woes continue. :(

thanks to Denis. ;)

Mike,

Maybe the driver thought the launcher could do with a cold shower too considering the driver had a few after everyone else used the hot water at the motel! :p

I didnt gun it tho, so you were lucky! Ask Al about launching Eat My Shorts' Seaducer! :p

Nitrocrazed racing: Brass monkey weather.

No worries Ian, you know they are not my favorites to launch! B) As long as you get them pulling away from the bank my job was done! :D That step in the bank almost sent me A$$ up every time anyway.

A launch pontoon would be nice to make them easier to see from the stand and would be safer for the pit man. Maybe next time?

Tim, we're already working on a better launch area and a bigger drivers stand. Being packed in like sardines is not good when racing C & X Hydros.

Craig Knight

AMPBA No. 198

Thanks Craig, good to see you on here too. I'll be back next year for more. :D See you in Nov if not sooner. ;)

Well a delaminated tyre on the way to the race (and not having the key to get the lock nuts off the wheel) Put Eat My Shorts Racing into massive disarray and total lack of sleep!!!!

3rd in X mono with only one heat finish!!!! Wouldnt mind seeing what the heat time was though coz I dont remember getting off the gas in that race. :) Starting in reverse didnt help the other heats....

And the Gas mono worked!!!!!

And the outboard worked???

now all I have to do is get the transport to work!!!!

EMS Racing Something had to go wrong

Tom,

the tube broke loose in the turnfin side sponson. I am going to re-do them before Ian takes it to the internats / Namba nats.

It wasn't worth risking more damage by running it this close to the Nats.

I have plenty of tubes here for it B)

Tim.

Tim,

So the H-4 and the H-10 are working well on the FF 21?

Did Aaron get to see the propellers from Props-4-U ?

It sounds like you have the boat running well. When Ian

comes over to the USA he may want to try an ABC 1714

or 1716 on the boat. How does the boat handle with the H-4?

We are running in the 70's with the New ABC 1700 series propellers.

What kind of boat does Rowan run? I see he won the A-Hydro.

Thanks, :)

Hi Mark,

Only got limited run time with the 21 due to the boom stub pulling out of the sponson, but it was impressive when it ran. I started off with the H10 as that is the prop I used in the past on it. After a few laps it was obvious that the conditions were very good for horsepower so I brought it in for refueling and fitted the H4. I was keen to try it as the boat was unable to pull it on my last attempt at home. Well it launched and got straight up on pipe with no problem whatsoever. The handling was unknown due to the loose boom stub causing the sponsons to alter.

I showed the props to Aaron but we didn't try them on his boat at the time. He had his SAW 21 boat only.

I will ask Ian if he can give you some money for the H4 on my behalf when he is over there and if any other props seem suitable on it I'll consider buying it from you. (it's a shame you don't accept credit cards or Paypal Mark!!!)

I think Rowans boat was an Avenger Spider or similar.

Mark,

Yeah Visa or Paypal (or indian beads) would be handy. Costs a fortune to get US$ money orders.... So did you find some cash in the mail from me?

Tim / Ian - Maybe we should have a pooling of resources and get one big order between us instead of all these bits and pieces??? I can just see Mark when he gets the order though... 35 props to do in 2 weeks!!! LOL

EMS Racing Cant let everyone else have all the fun

Mark,

Aaron was trying a few of the new ABC props on his 67 and 45 and found good speed.

Are you going to the internats? I would like to get some props to try on my A100 rigger, I have only tried one so far and would like to go a bit quicker.

Nitrocrazed racing: Left all my props at home.... <_<
