Hey my friends from Oz,

Can ya point me to a site or have any pics and price on this pipe, I got a project in mind

Any info welcome,

Gene ;D

Gene,

I presume by TT you mean outboard? The first Bolly pipe I used was on a K&B 21 OB, I pointed it straight out the back! It was quiet enough to not need a muffler, and light enough to not change the CG!

Ian.

Ian yes thats correct,

I want to try some of Tim's mods and make a little screamer, something different, since its just for SAW, and so lite, runnin it straight out the back should not be a problem.

Man, those are some nice lookin pipes!!!!!

Tom,

I tried the 21 size pipe on my K&B 21 outboard, it seemed to work well, and was much better than the Novarossi car pipe I also tried. But when we tried one on an inboard type boat it didn't seem to work as well. The 21 pipe is made for 21 pylon racing actually, so maybe Gene's idea of using the 40 size is a good one. I haven't tried it tho.

On my 90 I use the MP-92 size. Do I like it? Oh yeah! Nothing I have used comes on harder! ;D The only difference between the marine pipes and the P series pipes is he leaves the stub off which mates to the exhaust stub of a pylon or ducted fan motor, so it makes the pipes cheaper. Also he has a muffler on the end. If you ask for a marine pipe without a muffler it should be cheaper than the P pipes.

I used the MP-45's on CMB 45's, and they seemed to work well. I also tried a P-90 (which he no longer lists, but was the largest pipe shown in that pic that Gene posted, and probably available on request) on a CMB 45, this seemed to make very good torque.

Ian.

Ian,

Nice rigger by the way, she looks MEAN!!!!!

Tom,

Tim said the .21 pipe was kinda peaky, hard to get a setup, so the 40 might be the hot ticket to try.

When I get the TT outboard here, I think I will give it a go and see.

Thanks again for all the info Ian ;)

Later Dudes,

Gene ;D

hummm i just cant figure out what pipe i should use on my ff21 NR combo.... :-

Tom,

I think such a question was rasied on the rcboat.com listbot a while ago. The only ones I remmeber being mentioned was the little OPS pipe, and the Novarossi muffled marine pipe with the muffler can cut off. The best I used on my Nova was a stainless steel muffled pipe made by a friend! Might pay to check back thru the listbot....

Ian.

i need to run a muffled pipe this year.... no cutting cans off or ops pipes....

Tom,

There is also the CMB muffled pipe, this is supposed to be quite good, and I have seen a number here that work quite well. They are also quiet. But long too, may be messy to hang of the side of a little rigger.

Ian.

I ran the CMB pipe on my A45 Hydro and that was REAL quiet... I think it may have limited the top end though with the extra long stinger...

Hey Ian,

That isnt a standard Hummingbird cowl is it? My 67 has a lot shorter cowl...

I think I will use a Stinger cowl now I have all the moulds.

Might even use the twin stinger cowl on my twin when it arrives.

Oh and I own another 21 gear drive hydro now... LOL
