**** weeds, Heres a question, Why is it my monos 9 times out of 10 going through weeds, go rite through them, but if i even get close to them with my OB there like drawn to the prop and it goes no where? Why is that?

Those kids won't be around the next time. A neighbor dropped them off for us to Babysit. I was none too happy either! I've got Leakin' Lena patched up again, I gotta find me a small boat to throw on the cap of my truck.

About the only place that I know of off hand is the Toxic Pond, I can drive around to see if I can find some other spots. The guys that own R&L Hobbies have lakefront homes, maybe they'd like to have a group of us over. Thjey took one of those new 1/8 scale Miss Bud's out of inventory to play with and have a .90 'rigger. There is also the Austin Lake Public Access which is pretty dead after Labor Day with a shallow area off to one side great for running boats.

ya know i did get a good pic of the one playing in the sand... but yeah i was pretty nervous with them in the water and i didn't even have a boat. if you guys want to go a little north, we might be able to use the boat launch at angleright, I'll ask if you guys want me too.

Mary and I were none to happy with the "young man" in the water either.. Mary wanted to rip his ears off for going back into the water while someone was running.

One other item that scared me was running boats while someone was out in leak'n lena.. That alone gave me shivers everytime I saw it.. I have a general rule, if a retrival is going on, my boats stay docked.. Very surprised at my buddy when he threw his out while a retrival was happen'n.. Back when we ran in Ft Wyoming park(??), it happened to him. He was out in a rubber raft and someone ran into the raft. Didn't hurt him (LUCKY TO SAY), but it gashed the raft open.

Ron, u look'n for a small boat.. We really don't use this 10' jon boat. Interested???? U could call it Leak'n Lena II ;D, if ya get my drift!!! Slow leak it has

Thats a great idea about the jon boat, if you can bring it mark, will make retreiving boats much easier, and drier for all of us.

I am glad we all agreed about the kids, I was heastant about saying something as one might take offence. But hey say it how it is in my book. Now dales son was good and that friends of yours (obnut) daughter was perfect there all day.

Just give directions and i will be there.

My son is always good he just needs to run his boat more,I think he's afraid i'll yell at him if he flips it over,and i know i have [ bad parent] :- I need to take a walk while he's running so i don't say anthing,then he runs just fine.we have 7 guys running in toledo now,some gas and nitro ,The Maumee bay park is a nice place here, so it's still open to run here,if its big enought for gas its big enought for all the boats we all have. we draw quiet a crowd there ,we even fly air plains there, not that i can fly, so if you want to come here thats fine ,we have approval from the park Dale the member who,s not a member :'(

well... i don't mean to get everybody upset at me, but i might bring one or both of my little bro's they are 15, and 13... the younger one was at my place last week and when he saw my boat his eyes just lit up... unfortunatly it was raining or i prolly woulda taken it out.

Nt thats why i didn't ask to drive one... but the other questions are things i feel ppl need to know even if they are annoying if they didn't ask they would prolly never want to try it or just get a tyco and be really dissapointed... to tell the truth its the same with salt water fish, i got at least 600 wrapped up in my 29gal and thats a small tank it's not even fully stocked anymore, I still need lights and a new sump for it and that'll be BIG $$$$ at least i can build a sump with what i got here... my 5gal nano i have pretty close to 250 wrapped up in it but it's complete and i think i might have just sold it ;D... i hate when ppl come over to my place and see my computers and want to play, or fish and go LOOK IT'S NEMO!

Dale I agree with NT, I don't know how it is to be a dad yet (thankfully) uncle and older bro yes.... and jeeeese there have been times i just wanted to give one of my brothers a brain duster and go WHY??? at least you realize that you can be a little ruf.... there are too many ppl out there that don't.

New BOAT what are you thinking ,thats the only good answer.I just got a new HTB in the mail my buddy bought my yellow one so he bought me a brand new one ,not a bad deal, he wanted one real bad and did,nt want to wait 6 weeks. Im looking at a sweet gas boat a deal i cant refuse, a cat with a 32cc quickdraw,pipe the whole package just add receiver 600 bucks. ;D

Whoever hosts the next Fun Run ought to lay out some ground rules for me included! If it is on Private property, we should abide by the rules or leave! The same thing should go actually for any place that we run at. I had some old Tennies that were up in the truck that I should have worn instead of stepping in the Goose $#!+ or risk getting a toe torn off by a spinning prop. Ask EMS about being in an inflatable retrieve boat while there were other boats running! We should use sanctioning bodies safety guidelines even when we practice.

Hell I let my friend drive my boats, he flys the helis, I DO Have to turn away, he worries me when he is driving, He can go away from him, but gets the controls mixed up comming back at him.

We once had a FG Tom's Cat that was setup with the basics (stock 12mm K&B, S29 & S48 - remember those?). Actually, it now belongs to my bud that was at K-Zoo. They yellow one. If people wanted to run it, I gave them quick lesson and off they went. They went out alone, no other boats. Throttle was set to what I thought they could handle. It did bring a few people into the hobby.. ;D

Best run off all was my mom-in-law. What a hoot! She nearly ran the boat right into the only tree left standing in the pond.. Would have been worth it to see the boat go down... ;D ;D
