the wtc date has been changed 1 time, 3 years ago. they moved it from end of march to the end of april. no research needed, i've been to the last 4! plus, quite a few of the racers from outside d-12 that helped hydro classes fill were from c-town. they support our races when they can (greensboro & chesapeake)............making it a points event is what got me. then delmarva doesn't have a room or campsite within 50 miles, seems some other events going on that weekend. didn't we have that race a week later in years past just to avoid this?
Actually I believe the WTC has been moved twice but it's a moot point, one or two D12 members who might attend that race does not justify changing things for the rest of the district. And "quite a few of the racers from outside D-12 that helped hydro classes fill were from c-town" ... my my now THAT is a quite a stretch- one hydro guy from C-town attended the Greensboro race (where they ran 2 boat heats) and thanks to my good friend Anthony Black making the trip to Chesapeake with his 2 sons and Rick G. in tow it was the only D12 race to run all 4 nitro hydro classes.....3 of them barely. D hydro did not run in DelMarva, E hydro did not run in Centreville, F hydro did not run in Greensboro and as for Hagerstown last year... D, E and F hydro all did not run. Out of D, E and F hydro at all the D12 races the only class to run more than 2 or 3 boats was D hydro, made it to a whopping 4 boats. Yup, really knocking 'em dead on the boat counts and if it wasn't for combining the FE P class boats in the B hydro class (and B mono also) that one would have been in the pooper as well. I really do find it amusing how the ones "critiquing" the combining of the classes DON'T EVEN RUN IN THEM! I'm not going to waste any more keystrokes on this as I've posted the facts about the situation in the nitro hydro classes, the NUMBERS do not lie.....

The dates for the WTC has actually been moved twice. In 2005 it was in the fall. In 2006 we changed it to the spring (end of March) and stayed that way for 2006-2008. Due to bad weather that the northern racers had to deal with coming to the race, we moved it to the end of April in 2009. The first move was needed to start hosting the race now known as the Fall Nationals.

The boat count looks good 81 boats entered so far with 27 racers. The largest classes was gas mono and gas cat. Classes that need 1 more boat to make are: OPEN NITRO MONO ,GAS RIGGER, JERSEY SKIFF, 20 SPORT TUNNEL, P-SPEC HYDRO, P-SPEC TUNNEL, OPEN FE MONO . If you plan attending please contact me ASAP to help fill out those classes before Friday at 5pm.

Charles, Just so there is no confusion. There are three FE classes that run combined with Nitro classes for D12 points.

P-Spec Hydro runs combined with the B-Hydro .

P-Spec Tunnel runs combined with the B-tunnel (mod)

P-mono runs with B-Mono

So just add the P-Spec Hydro entries to the B-Hydro heats. Same thing with the other two combined classes. P-Spec Tunnel and Hydro should be good to go.

My application went in the mail on Saturday. I'm doing Stock Gas and P-Spec Hydro, John is doing P-Spec Tunnel and P-Spec Hydro.

This is 100% correct. These three classes run TOGETHER just like all of last year. The rules were written specifically for this and the class formats are already established.

Don and Chili, thanks for the class clarifications, someone called me and cleared it up also. The D12 racers have responded and we are at 97 boats as of tonight. BIG thanks to those who chose to bring a extra boats and completed classes. Robin you are entered as requested,we will settle up at the lake! People have asked us to list the address online for the racers to use their gps systems for driving to the park. here it is: Greenbrier State Park

21843 National Pike

Boonsboro, MD 21713-9535

Robin, Drop you canopy off my house Wednesday or Thursday and I'll set you up Friday afternoon when I get off work.

I talked with Charles the other night. I will be there. Not going to be running as many classes as in the past. 7 classes is just getting to be a little to much. Looking forward to my first race with a FE boat. this should be fun. I really think that FE will be the future of this hobby, but time will tell.

Tim, Charles and Eric (I know that there are more people involved in running this race also), Thanks for putting on a good race, We had good competitition, good times and great weather for most of the weekend. I know that there is a lot of hard work involved in putting a race together and it takes the work and dedication of all parties involved, so my hats off to all of you. I also wish to thank Greg Heffner for letting the club use his new software for scoring the race, it seemed like it worked very well. Only thing is that I wish that there had been more of a showing of everyone in the district for this race.

Thanks again and see you guys soon.
