Hi Guys,

just a quick note to to thank and congratulate a few people.

Firstly to the MBCNSW for staging a terriffic weekend of racing, the event was run without a holdup all weekend, it was great to actually be able to race in all four rounds (as per program).

To all the competitors, from all classes, especially the ones that travelled long distances.

And to my mate Tim, on a delivering a perfect score in winning the class, and bringing my baby home in one piece!

Great weekend guys, I hope to see you all, and more at Hunter Valley

Lets do it again soon.

Regards to All

Mark

Sorry, also forgot to thank you all, for putting up with me, ...... following all my heats.

Lynx wins 1st ever running of A O/B tunnel at the Winter Spectacular with a perfect score and fastest heat time for class.

A Big thanks to MJ for allowing me to drive this awesome little boat, and to Salisbury Power Pipes for sponsoring the class at the event, and to the competitors who made the race what it was! I have won a nationals in this class before, but this event was a sweeter victory than that!

Tim.

Alright Tim & MJ!, is that the first time you guy's got that boat and motor to win an event?

It still has the Nova on it, yeah? Was it the competition that made this win "sweeter"?

Hi Jerry,

This is the first big win for a Lynx in Australia. It was always going to happen - just took longer than MJ and I thought possible B)

MJ ran the Nova on the Shaman - I ran a stock O.S on the Lynx. The tiger would have been extremely competitive, but the Lynx is more fun to drive. I ran them both in practice on Friday and made a late switch.

What made it so sweet? Lots of things - not listed in any particular order.

1. Great bunch of guys racing in the class from several states as well as "locals".

2. First time this annual event has included a tunnel class (inboard or outboard for that matter)

3. I had to drive well to pass some determined drivers, and had to get my starts right to be in with a chance as there were some fast boats racing.

4. It was sponsored by my good friend Dave from SPP.

5. It was the first big win for a Vans Racing boat in this country.

6. I didn't have a horsepower advantage.

7. A boat that made it to US-1 trials at the 2006 IMPBA nats was in the field. (that is so cool - having a good proven boat from the IMPBA internats in the country lets us know how we are doing competition wise.)

8. I have had a bad year at events, results wise up until this one.

9. It eased the pain of blowing up my faithful old Nova in the rigger.

10. It made MJ happy.

That's a Whole Lotta Good reasons Tim, I'm glad for your win and your right, The Lynx

is a Great Boat!

How is MJ's Nova handling the Shaman?

Tim,

great show you penrith guys put on over the weekend.

Was great being there.

4th in A OBT. ROCK ON, Im loving it.

Thanks Kris for the lend of the boat. It was great to start and finish every race. Something that i have not achieved in nitro tunnels.

David

Hi David,

Yourself and the Queenslander's sure did well in a lot of classes! I watched you drive a few races and thought you drove really well.

Very nice that the boys had fun with their toys.

We 'd love to see some vid of the action that was going on.

The pictures are nice.

Ronald.

Thanks for the comment Tim.

Id be interested in knowing if there was some vids of the tunnels and electric racers.

regards

David

Hey Tim,

I got about 50 mins of vid action from the Saturday. I'm going to send Andrew G a copy and planned on contacting you to drop off a copy at your work? I sat with some bloke with an EOS and 1 tripod leg past the launch area for hours. Footage is ok too. I have made a dvd that can play on home dvd and the pc. Mostly riggers, monos and elec. I did not see a tunnel run when I was there Sat?

Hi Peter,

Yeah - we ran two rounds of tunnels on Saturday, and two heats per round - so four races on Saturday, and four on Sunday. We ran in the order on the entry form, which had us in between the hydro's and mono's.

Our office has moved since I saw you last - about 3 blocks from the old place...

Tim.

Tim,

No worries, vid footage is SICK. Have 45 mins Win Spc 2006 + more, goes for 2 hours.

PM son.

Peter

Just delete the final of the X hydros off the DVDs for me please.

I don't need reminding.

Peter was only taking vid on Saturday Grub, so no-one can see footage of you "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory".

Remember how you reminded me of my cowl incident in Adelaide all those years ago on Saturday morning........ :p I could give you grief for years about how you blew the biggest X hydro "winner takes all" race in the country! hahahaha
