Everyone....Aaron is obsessed with my little pony.... Yes as in the childrens show that's made for little girls!

Racing is going well although we have lost two OBs... Unfortunately Aarons boat is swimming at the bottom of buoy four and Murphs little blue lynx decided to argue with a tree..

There's been some very good races is all classes and the weather has been great! It started raining last night and is supposed to rain through the day. We have one more round of racing to do this morning and then shoot outs for a few classes.

I can't really remember what the others have done results wise in .21 outboard but I have a dnf, 2nd,1st,1st

With 1 round to go this morning the scoreboard was Bryan, from me, from Kesso in 3rd. After the race where Bryan and I stopped on the first race lap after a very crowded first turn, it was;

Kesso 1st

Bryan R 2nd

Me in 3rd.

My poor little villain got it's first serious racing scar - it will live to fight another day though.

Kesso had a shocker of a weekend with his other boats and was down to a spare spare engine, but hung on there for the class win. Good work mate - well done.

B O/B was;

Jamie A in 1st

Murph 2nd

Me.

I snagged 3rd in B hydro too with 3 heat wins, a 2nd and a DNS - so 3 x 3rd places out of 3 boats entered.

Great water and great weather made for great racing. Shame we had 2 serious casualties in the A o/b ranks - hopefully the diver can find Aaron's Vision after it broke up in practice (still can't believe it sunk so fast!) And the little blue Lynx has had it's last winter spec. I won the first ever A O/B tunnel race at the WS with that boat back when MJ owned it. Memories :rolleyes:

HV CHAMPS? Me! I love racing there.

The Vic titles @ Shepparton is coming up too. I really want to go to that.

Gener,

My villain was just a "rubbing is racing" type of deal. It's just a scar from a skeg impact - it will still be fine. In hindsight I should have just let them go at the start and just picked a few off thru the race, but once the start came up - logic went out the window!

Murph had a radio failure - not sure what caused it. I'm sure he'll clue us in. He was really unlucky to have hit a tree as there aren't many close to the water. Aaron's boat was on the water by itself during practice when it met it's demise. It's a shame too, because he "brought the ponies, and had to feed 'em". It was quick!

Yeah aarons boat was real quick! I can't believe it just split open like that..

For me,

Great weekend great water great racing and great mates!

Only thing that would have made it better would be not having two brain fades.. The two DNFs cost me the winterspectacular!

Lets do it again soon!

Oh well my favorite little machine has met it's end, post mortem at this stage looks like my first ever receiver failure... When I say first ever, I mean in over 30yrs of playing with RC stuff.

I've just got to say, what a fanastic weekend, some great racing, great people, made it a weekend to remember.

Well done guys, I'm really sad I couldn't make it to the Winterspec this year... well a newborn is a pretty good excuse.. right Kris?

A big well done to Kesso for the win in A Outboard, and for piloting the little Breakthrough Tunnel to its first title win. You didn't have the consistent power there this weekend, but the overall conistency is shown in your result. Good work!

Now let's keep testing testing testing see what the hull can really do! :)

Very disheartened to hear about the loss of a couple of hulls, that is never good to hear at all! Keep your chins up!

Cheers,

Dave
