Just kidding about the District 14 club. My career change sidelined racing with the local club I belong too, The Twin Cities Model Boat Club. I work weekends and only have a limited amount of days I can take off from work, and those will be used to attend the Nitro Nats and Hobart.

CRAP, I could actually go fast....... My elevation is 5,200 feet, sometimes adjusted altitude is 8,000+ feet.

Is this race going to be same format as the june race winner take all finals

No. It will be 5 rounds of heat racing for all boats. Open water and check in will be on Tuesday August 2nd and heat racing begins on Wednesday and continues through Saturday. Banquet will be Saturday evening.

Julian wich is it you donrt like the shootout format wich puts the fastest guys withe fastest guys or the winner take all format to different formats the shootout format puts the winners from each heat together in the next round you said in the june race post you didn't like the winner take all final

Gents,

To clarify, the National Champion format is 5 rounds of randomly determined heats. If by the 5th round, all but one boat has scratched for a scheduled heat, then we have a one boat heat. The top points earner over the 5 rounds is the National Champion. The format of the Nats cannot be altered by the host club.

Our (3) weekend races this year uses a shootout format to sort the heats. After each round, the point tally determines the heats like and A-main, B-main and such. After 3 rounds of heat racing, the points leader earns the prestigous Top Qualifier tropy. The "Shootout Round" of racing determines 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trophies for the top three finishing places of a 6 boat final heat.

Our club likes this format for two reasons.

(1) To place, you must compete with the top 6 boats heads up.

(2) It allows us to accomodate the large amount of entries we have historically recieved in a 2-day race.

This is 12Ft of..... BLING BLING!!!!! TWIN NITRO HYDRO & F MONO, WE have had plenty of Excitement with others trying to get there hands on them. GOOD LUCK getting thru the Heats Just to Line up for the MAIN!!!!!! :blink: Rick & Chris came to Evansville for the 1st time in 2010. Both had a great time & the Racing IS WIDE OPEN!!!!! OHY..............Made that trip many times 6hrs door to door Radar Detector on full the whole WAY!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: If it was not for the Big Dance I would be after the "BLING BLING" also.

OH...........And watch out for the "Horse & Buggy" on Pennyrail it will add a 1/2 to your time... :lol: :lol:
