Just got back from local pond, saw a nice little 20 boat that is said to be very very light kicking some butt. its yellow and named after a cat that lives in the mountains. watch out Tom F.and Bret E. This thing has CLAWS Video to come next week?

If it is the boat I am thinking of this happened in that 250 foot long pond I assume? :)

200' x 375'

Reminds me of one of Andy's SAW boats with the acceleration. Super light means super acceleration. I think this boat will run 100 with a SAW prop and short rudder, no turn fin.

True enough and there will be MANY eyes watching very closely at the Fall Nationals in 6 weeks. I am most interested in seeing Marty's new 20 and Rod's new 40 riggers.

Will this "cat with claws" be at Hobart??? :D

Don :)
Don:

Not this year, economy to bad for people in the Real Estate Business.
If you are waiting for the Real Estate market to get better before you you travel to race ....you won't be able to travel for the next 5 to 10 years....

This mess we are in is not going to be a short term deal........Rod

Wow !!!! I will say that when it hit the water for the first time it was AWESOME. Truly a 20 boat that will heat race in the 80s. The acceleration and turning was way cool. Scary part is it launched with no trouble so there may be room for more prop!

Good job Marty you sure now how to get the most out of your 20.

Ya know, I hate to be a sceptic but was there a radar gun? Can anyone show proof of 80 plus in heat race trim putting a spank'n on 6 other boats? Just what does "20 boat pushing 80 plus" mean? Did the boat run 75 and "push" for 80, did it run 83 and show promise for 85? I just got home from a race where 65mph in 20 hydro would have put you in the front of the class, 70mph in .40 would be smokin, and 75mph in open hyrdo (including a twin) would have set top speed for the weekend. Can anyone lend me a radar gun for the Hobart race to check out the top speeds for the weekend? I'd be glad to post the actual results. I've got a 75mph .20 boat and a .45 that runs within a mile an hour or two and wins me a ton of races. I hate to quote the "first you have to finish to finish first" but it definately helps to be able to park your boat at the end of a heat. Just say'n...
