I’m actually looking at an onboard elec starter that is remotely operated. So you would set it in the water, point it in the right direction, then hit the button and go! It’s really kind of cool.

Simple Walbro pulse pressure water pump, tap off one of the carb blocks, stupid easy. They only weigh a couple ounces and I've yet to see one fail.

No, as far as I know it’s only the 2nd 5th scale cut out from ML Boat Works and the only one built. There’s a couple guys running some big elec scale hydros in Germany and I have seen a couple here in the US that are in different stages of being built but I haven’t seen any here running.
Besides, I’m not really trying to make another class, I’m just building something different. I have no idea if it’s even going to run worth a damn.

I strongly suggest a small metal eye with a short piece of rope up on the front somewhere! Easier to tow it back to shore than trying to put it in the retrieve boat!!

I was thinking of a wagon bottom but with rails wide enough to hold the boat so U could push it in the water running . Then leave it in the water to bring it back out .

I will probably have some kind of wagon or cart for it but I plan to put an elec starter that is controlled from the Tx to start it. We will set it in the water, point it in the right direction then get out of the way.

I will getting all the hardware, exhaust and electronics all mounted before I finish putting the deck on this thing. I’m getting close tho!

This worked out better than I had hoped for! It almost look like a 20 nitro motor in an 1/8th scale hydro, lol!
