Guys,
Thanks for the response to the Zoom 21 carb. I have 26 orders on the list and more coming in.

I have the first batch coming in todays mail, so to be fair to all, I will go down the list in the order

that they were recieved. More carbs are being built and a few new ones are in the testing stage,

so please be patient with Charles and myself as we are still trying to make better products

available for our hobby that we love. Some new things are in the pipeline of development so

please be understanding with us, as this is only a hobby and it takes up A LOT OF OUR TIME.

We Sure Appreciate Your Business,

ZOOM,ZOOM,ZOOM!!!

We sure hope to be doing that this weekend in Flint,Michigan. :D

Should we send in our checks now or are you going to let us know who the lucky ones are?

Robert Holland

Robert,

We are only taking orders now, when the carbs are delivered you will be asked to pay for them.

So you know, yours are coming with your propeller order next week.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Dave,

It is an original (circa 1981) believe me, no copy at all. You can't see all the features in the pictures.

What carb looks like this one? I doubt if any out there run like this one. :D

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Charles,

Is that a teathered boat I see in the last two pics of your gallery?

Does anyone still run them in the USA?

Good one Ron, LMAO

Hello Andy,

The boat in the picture was built as a SAW boat from a picture of a teather boat in a European Model magazine in 1983.

The boat had a lot of potential as for speed, I just could not get it to turn without rolling over. This was about the same time that I was getting ready to move back to Tennessee. I now know what it would take to make it turn. Just another of those projects that I have never gotten back too.

Boaters, thanks for your patience. Today is the official release date for the ZOOM 21 carb.

Due to the tight schedule, we did not have time to prepare an instruction and facts sheet to place with the carbs that were shipped today

First the carb that you are receiving is a top quality part. A lot of effort has been put into the design and manufacturing to make sure that you are pleased with your purchase.

Evey carb that we sell has been individually calibrated on the flow bench for optimum performance. Reference marks have been made on the carb body and side plate for the correct alignment of these parts for this performance.

We will stand behind every carb that we sell provided that there has been no alterations or modifications of any kind done to the carb. This includes accidents or abuse.

As with any new change to the RC engine and/or boat setup, start with the mixture on the rich side and work your way carefully toward maximum performance.

Some of the engines have a slightly different sound to them when running with this carb, due to the different atomization of the fuel, so take the normal precautions to make sure that you are not running lean, engine temp...plug readings...common sense...ect.

Thank you for purchasing the ZOOM carb.

Happy Boating, Charles Perdue

Thanks guys.

We are currently concentrating on producing the 21 carb for the current orders at this moment. The orders were more than we expected.

We have plans to produce carbs for most of the engines out there including the gas engines.

We have the 12 and 45 sizes being tested at this time. I have to be sure that the carbs are the best that I can build and to do that a lot of back to back to back testing and refinements has to be done and this takes time.

Even with the best theories, the product has to be refined to real world conditions. That is why the process is called RESEARCH & DEVELOPEMENT.

I just do not want to release any products until I am sure they are ready. :)

Thanks, Charles

Hello Charles and others, i recieved my Zoom carb yesterday. What a fine piece of speed equipment. The fuel fitting is mounted close to the carb body which makes for a nice fit in my Blackjack hydro. No problem clearing the side of the cowl. The adjustable fuel nipple is a great addition. Carb barrel has a very precision fit to the carb body, and moves freely. I have my Zoom installed on a CMB Valvola, and is ready for a test. Just need the weather to cooperate. Thanks Charles, for the great design, and quality workmanship. Richard D

Hello Richard, we are glad that you like the ZOOM carbs design  . Keep us posted as to how you like the performance.

Thanks, Charles

I have to agree, I got my new Zoom .21 carb yesterday at the record trials in Flint MI. It is a very well crafted part, I will try and get a test run with it soon. Thank You Charles :)

Boaters,

Should have the next batch of Zoom-21 carbs in two weeks. They have aprox.

40 different steps in the build and test before they are sold. The Zoom-12 and

Zoom-45 are in the testing stage already and the Zoom-67 is coming along well.

Thanks For Your Patience,

Mark Sholund

I see that you've gotten the attention of some of us .12 freaks in here! Some of us run OS engines and I'm also looking at the Nova Rossi .12 for my Sport 12 that I'm slowly working on (winter project).

What remote needle would work for a .12 though?
