I mean the clear plastic windshields like for a 70s or 80s hydro

RC Boat Company sells a lexan windshield that’s molded to the inside of a cowl for the modern boats. You may check with Bill Brandt at Rattlesnake RC as well. Just Google them they come right up. You could get some thin lexan and put it down inside the cowl and carefully take a heat gun to try to mold it a little bit as well.

Mike nailed it. Lexan is way better than plastic for numerous reasons. I used to buy stainless button head hardware from microfasteners.com. You can buy smaller than 2-56 with nuts and tiny Allen wrenches. A paper template saves on Lexan. E-bay has thin sheets. I think I used 1MM. Put the first fastener in the center and work outward..
