This year it was Marty Shallenberger after he lost the radio at the Namba Nats and wiped out his 90 Oberto. The previous winner awards it to whomever he thinks deserves it. Paul Jackson probably deserved to give it to himself this year after he got run over at the Nats instead of giving it to Marty, but his wife said if he brought that piece of **** home again she was going to throw it in the garbage.

The trophy base is built around a piece of the real Tide's honeycomb deck after it blew over in the lower turn at Tri-Cities back in the early 90's. Everyone that gets the trophy adds a piece of carnage from his wrecked boat. There are lots of pieces from a lot of different boats plus split motor cases, broken cranks, mangled props, rudders, ect. Receiving it is a dubious honor to say the least!!!!
