Motors without silicone ramp, flush with WD-40 and then use Corrosion X. Best in my years. Of boating. Bill McGraw put us onto Corrosion X. It will prolong the life of your bearings .
I have been doing the same for the last few years.Everybody has there favorite. Mine is outboard fogging oil. Protecting bearings is what its made for. It also foams up and coats everything, and does not require re oiling every couple of months like some other options.
X2Guys, this is all good advice for the after run oil...just don't use any WD40 in your Nova motors with the silicon ramp! I use Corrison X and it work great to get the water out and keep things shiny inside.

X2, always run the engine and disconnect the fuel line to run the nitro out. Then flush as above.I think one of the most important things you can do is disconnect the fuel line and put the glow plug ignitor on a plug and turn the motor over to make sure all the fuel is burned out of it.Keep turning it over until it won't pop anymore. I use JB 80 as afterrun oil because it has a foaming action that really gets into the bearings. I also leave an old plug loosely in the motor when I shoot the afterun oil in as this will cause pressure in the crankcast force the oil into the bearings.
