You would think water would be thrown up into the bottom of that part of the sponson, lifting it up and limiting the effect of the skid fin. I know that was the case with the Dumas sport 40 Atlas kits but, then again, the Atlas kits had a full bottom and not a rigger configurationit would be worthwhile to try it might be able to put less bend in the finIt is not supposed to be mounted that way but everyone has there own ideas.It's interesting that the skid fin is attached on the outside of the sponson. [Or on the outside of the part of the sponson that stick out and to the rear and above the sponson's running transom] Has anyone tried this on a model rigger with any success?
