Re:web site opions wanted!!

Yup you are both selling boats, not only that but your both selling Deep Vees. I don't think you can both sell boats. So just give up.

Re:web site opions wanted!!

haha LMAO mike......yea i mean cmon, dont tell me they are both made of the same material?!! what is this!

lol jk, that's an absurd claim, i mean it's not like Crowther's stuff isnt recognized as some of the best if not the best, that just makes me want to buy a TC instead of a 'Ducer, well except that im working on a cat not a mono so it doesnt matter.

that's the 5th thing ive heard involving people b**ching and moaning about copying......the ironic thing is NOBODY has copyrighted thier stuff, so its ALL FREE GAME NO MATTER WHAT, people will buy from guys that are nice and sell decent products for decent prices and wont buy from con-artists and jerks, plain and and simple. im not calling Crowther a jerk, and nobody would contest his skill at driving and building, im just saying he has nothing to worry about from you and complaining seems like a way to lose a few customers not gain them.

Re:web site opions wanted!!

oh yea one other thing.....that makes me sad because i thought the inside arguing was limited to elec and gas, so far the whole copying issue has been electric motors and gas hulls/pipes until this.......please guys lets make an effort to keep our rep as a fun hobby full of nice people who dont argue among ourselves more than is neccessary.

Re:web site opions wanted!!

I was not going to..... but as I myself have had content/graphics/ideas stolen from my web pages I can see how Jerry would be upset by your website.

As soon as I saw it.... way before this post went up.... I immediately compared it to seaducers and sure enough many graphics and significant amounts of formating are a complete rip-off.

Yea man... i'm with Jerry and the guys at seaducer. I would suggest taking the website down untill twincraft can make their own web page.

proof.... that's easy, lets see:

from seaducers website.... direct links:

seaducer:

http://www.seaducerboats.com/images/wnew.gif

twincraft:

http://www.twincraftboats.com/assets/image...es/whatsnew.gif

seaducer:

http://www.seaducerboats.com/images/gas.gif

Twincraft:

http://www.twincraftboats.com/assets/images/gas.gif

It is very easy to change the tint of a color slightly with any photo editor. A direct steal with tiny changes. All the nav bar button images are a rip-off.

how about the formatting of the pages....

nitro mono page from seaducer:

http://www.seaducerboats.com/boats.htm

nitro mono page from twincraft:

http://www.twincraftboats.com/nitro_monos.htm

look at the formatting and the text, the underlining, almost identical with minor changes. and the ...::boatname here::... 3 periods and 2 colons around the boat name.... identical.

I see you removed your motors page.... graphics were an exact copy and so was the text/formatting.

I'm sure i'll get some hell for posting my opinion on this but that's just too bad. I don't know if someone made the site for you, or if you did it yourself. Either way, I don't think Jerry is out of line asking you to take it down untill it can be made so it does not have elements stolen from the seaducer website.

You asked for opinions.... now you got mine.

Re:web site opions wanted!!

Jimmy here use what you need www.offshoremodels.com it all free stuff offered on the web and from Microsoft I don't own it. Just throw me a link on there K we will both be helping each other.

Re:web site opions wanted!!

Last night the site was the same. I sent Jimmy a email saying change the site. He even had the same F.A.G as my site. On the home page he even had (windowstatus[5] = "The beauty") This is a link to the sport fisher on my site. Late last night he changed it after the guy that helped me with my site and I sent him a copyright notice. Don't you notice the motor page does't work. That page was the exact same. Why do you think he posted this here late today? He should have done it yesterday.

As for him copying my boats. This has not been done. let me tell the truth as to what I said. Here is the exact email

"Now if you copy my boats like you did my site you will be in real trouble with the patent office. I love to turn people in to the law."

He just posted this here to get more people to his site.

I am glad Tom sees it my way. If jimmy gets away with stealing a web site. What do you think he will steal next? Look out boat manufactures he will copy every thing in site.

Re:web site opions wanted!!

Good eye Tom, now that you pointed out the problems I can understand too.

Re:web site opions wanted!!

I would have to agree that the pages are very much alike.

People put alot of time and effort into web design and offering services and it isn't fair to just take their work.

Re:web site opions wanted!!

well, i've never designed a web page myself, but my 13 year old niece made her own, and it whips both of those sites looks-wise. as far as i understand, a basic site it isn't hard to create using the readily available html templates, just time consuming and needs some creative thinking is all. ???

Re:web site opions wanted!!

Let's help out each other Jimmy.... i'll make you a website, you make me a boat. ;D

really....

Dick Crowe, USA's fastest electric boater, and a heck of a great website maker has made a bunch of rc web sites. look at his rates http://drcwebservices.com/ I think you can look at the sites I have made and see that a boat for a web site is a fair trade.

some of the sites I have made

www.intlwaters.com

www.impba4.com

www.firefighterboats.com

www.westernprairie.org

www.grimracer.com (paypal shopping cart)

It would be an exclusive original design (I realize some of my examples are duplicates with different colors). I can set you up with a paypal shopping cart even!

let me know.....

Re:web site opions wanted!!

ok.... good luck!

let me know if ya change your mind.....

Re:web site opions wanted!!

Ok so i didn't see the site in question... but I will say this my problem with the twincraft site is that it doesn't flow very well.. i mean the pages don't look like they were all created at the same time.. there are two very obvious different themes. and when you do use different themes you open yourself up to the argument of stealing pages even if you did or didn't. simply because they don't flow. take a look at the great web sites, they all have one common theme that is carried through to every page in the site.
