VS1 & Top Speed 3

Hi gang - thinking about picking up a boat to race NAMBA OPC A, and in our club most people seem to be using the Aquacraft VS1 with OS .21 outboards. I'm the guy who always wants the weird and/or different - you should meet my kids! - so would a Top Speed 3 be competitive with the VS1? Both are from Aquacraft and both are within dollars of each other, so what's the difference?

Length, ts3 should take rough water better. ......

TS3 is fibreglass and is a boat well suited to running a mod engine with a pipe.

VS1 is wood, and is extremely well suited to a stock motor.

VS1 can fly across smoother water; needs great setup, balance and patience when the water is rough and there are other wakes about.

TS3 can cope with more horsepower and rougher water, and turns on rails at full speed when your setup is right

how about a cobra tunnel? i make these real affordable and they run well with both stock and mod engines. i also offer many different colors and schemes to choose from. here are some pics of what my boats look like if you need more info you can PM me at [email protected]
