What hull will you use for a .12? On an OS lower?

Those gear drives look VERY nice!

Did you ever try a small carby (10mm) on the Nova 46? That reduced the noise ALOT on my outboard, would give good bottom end also. With some tuning it could work well for you IMO

We are in the process of designing a new boat for the .12 engines. It will be around 670-680 mm, and will be built superlight.
Gearboxes have OS interface, so they will be used on the OS lower, but can of course be used on the K&B lowers with the adapterplate I am using for this purpose.

Thanks for nice comment about the gearboxes, it is appreciated.

On the NR .46 I only ran two tanks of fuel before I switched to my favourite carb, the OS 21D (which has 10 mm bore) which worked waaaay better than the stock Nova carb. Later I switched to OS 40 L carb with 3 needles, and that one has become my favourite for the NR .46
For straight away races it might be different, but for our style of racing this is very good.

Excellent, keep us posted on the hull once it sees the light of day :)

Yep, as mentioned, I can see a benifit to the 10mm carby for you and the style of course you race on. I have no intention of doing any further testing at this point myself with such a small carby, unless I decide to make the trek to Europe to have fun over there one day

Another thing I have done, is switching from pressurized fuel supply to float chamber. It is a hell of a difference when the engine sucks as much as it wants. Tank pressure is far from stable when you are up and down on the throttle as much as we are.
I tried the helicarbs with regulator as well, it worked pretty good, but it is a lot more expensive and complex system compared to a simple floatchamber.

Working on a new canopy for the latest 20 boat design. Next up will be canopy for the 12 boat design. This is for the latest Noddcat, designed by Kjell Gunnar Noddeland

Looks great Joern.

So you still run a pressure line to the tank from pipe? Where do you get the float tank from?

I assume the main reason for you is consistency of fuel pressure to the carby itself ? Not really seen a need yet, but always will to try new things!

Yes, the main tank is sitting on a lower level, so that one has pressure. The float chamber has bleed off, so there is no pressure at all in the float, Engine sucks as much as it need.
There is several places to buy floats in Europe, it is a must in all endurance boats.
Ian Folkson make very good floats. CMB have floats as well.

Jørn, I like the pad display, does the TMA-1 come with an OTG USB cable? Are you using the V1.5.0 app and was the set-up straight forward?
Yes, comes with everything you need to hook it up. Must be an Android pad though.
Set up is very easy, just follow the manual.
When you have downloaded the app you will find an extended manual that explains the complete set up, not only the hook up.

Do you have a site we’re I can buy the hopper tank ( your pressure system)
Thanks
Ian Folkson makes very good floats.
www.iansboats.co.uk
He has moved from UK to Slovenia, so you better search for him on facebook.
Frank Werner, goes by D-7 on this forum, makes floats that works well and at a very low price.

You may contact Stu Barr and get the original CMB float.
