I myself like that Clamping type with the rubber cushion inside, I have made 2 and got one with the Ducer Kit. I Like the clamping better. The wire i have on one. It came with the pipe, I dont know if i would make a wire hanger one, course its all in your OWN MIND what you want on YOUR BOAT.

Hey Tom,

I'll make you one like mine if that will work for you. I have a small mill and I'm not very fast with it but if you can wait 2 or 3 days for me to put one in the mail- no problem. However, I'm not sure how it would work on a .20 boat. See specs on the latest replies of Another new .12- Riptide.

This one was purchased from Tower Hobby’s. It works quite well. I don't remember who made it though.

??? I tried to post a pic, but it keep coming up permission denied ???

Tom,

That's were it all starts... you build a wire mount for the car pipe, next thing ya know your hooked on wire mounts.

Tom, that's all you need. A pair of needle nosed pliers to make a loop to run a bolt through and some kind of cutter to whack the music wire to length. Not all of us have CNC machines in our basements.

That looks like an Associated pan car wing-wire mount.

I think that's a stock part for RC10L3

Close,

They are 1" x 1/4" aluminum radio tray standoffs for Cobra pan cars. I got all the old inventory for the Cobra 1/10 1/8 1/12 cars. I have a big bag full of these standoffs and I cut them to the size I need.

I will send ya 3 for free or 5 for nothing. (5 is the better deal). If ya want them cross drilled thats not extra.

Tom,

I'll put one like mine in the mail to you tomorrow if you'll send me the address. If it wont work on the 20 maybe you can use it on a future 12.

Ill try the one from Don.... I think I like the idea of 2 screws holding it more than one at this point.

thanks for everyones help!

I notice that everyone that has posted pics, all the motors are rear exaust.

Are there any problems with using a side exaust motors for the .12 boats?

it's just that most of the newer and "better" .12's are all rear exhaust. you will find the specs on most older side exhaust 12's to be in the .4-.6 horse power range where as the newer rear exhaust engines claim well over 1 horse power.
