Hi everyone,
I am looking for brands/suppliers of engine mounts for CMB Nitro engines (all through the range from .21 to .91)

I know for the 91 I used to get TFL ones but can't seem to find those anymore.

Does anyone know of/have any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance
Jake

Jake,

Pretty easy to make, you just need some hardware and some
Delrin or aluminum bars. I recently just bought some printed
engine mounts from Mike Ball for sport boats. Very Nice engine
mounts. What kind of boats are you building?
Good Luck with the business venture. 👍
Thanks,

Mark

Hey Mark
Thanks for this. I'm looking at supplying them as part of a new business venture (more details to come to the forum later) so not looking to make me own as I won't have time to manufacture them all constantly.

Bill Brandt sells some nice floor mounts.

I can’t remember the other guys name I think it’s Gabe Clabe has some nice floor mounts also. Sorry if I’m butchering his name.

Thanks Rick, I've reached out to both Rattlesnake and RossiSales respectively.
Saw your post Jake. I received an Octura Humm dinger mount today. Surprised no one stocks these (Octura doesn’t seem to advertise). Was glad to see you could still get them new from Octura. A great mount. Full craddle, not hanging the motor on the lugs

Mounting the engines by the case lugs has shown no ill effects in my experience after 40 years of RC boating . The Humdinger mount was /is aimed at those that wanted to change engine types . It was originally called Swift Switch mount .

I've been trying to find a contact for Octura to see about supplies (I've setup a new firm, details to follow soon) and struggling to find a contact. If anyone has one, greatly appreciate the connect!

Personally have always mounted engines in craddles, so that the motor is supported without putting stress on the crank case. OS motors, which I have often used have a drawing of a craddle in the manual for mounting. Many had VR-M cases split supported on just the lugs. Obviously this does not effect all motors as plenty are mounted on lugs. The swift switch mount I think had a two piece craddle (?)so one unscrewed from the other. Looking in the catalogue, it looks to be another option sold as a complete mount or just the seperate insert/bases.

Anyway, a good mount the hummdinger. See how you go Jake, best of luck👍🏼
