Kentley Porter just called me to say he had just set the 1/4 mile 2-lap "B" hydro and "C" hydro records with the new, soon to be released JAE.21G2 hydro......

Kentley asked me to post this......

He said the wind is blowing at 20MPH which hampered the runs today but the JAE.21G2 handled it.....he also said there is more left with good weather and a good needle. He said he felt he left a bunch on the table with the .21 motor when it sagged bad during the "B" hydro record run.He said didn't want to run it again today because of the poor weather saving the boat and motor for tomorrow and the assault on the 1/3 mile 2 lap records.

The "B" hydro record fell from 17.604 sec to 16.1 seconds for 2 laps....and....

The "C" hydro record fell from 20.013 sec to 16.2 seconds for 2 laps......

These records were set by a JAE.21G2 built from the plans that are soon to be released.

The Zippkits JAE.21G2 boat kit will be the same boat with one exception.....The kit boat tub will have a 1/8" taller tub to facilitate the use of a $5.99 Sullivan 8OZ."Flex" fuel tank.

Needless to say ,all of us from "JAE" are very pleased and kudos to KP.......

All we can say is "WOW" and get ready to start building boys.... :D

way to go kentley!! & a huge shout out to all the jae team for bringing us this boat. dick loeb called me & gave me the news, can't wait to see what good weather will bring tomorrow B) .

Kentley,

It sounds like the X-447 was running well from Aaron.

Our Nova 28 engine is running well (85MPH) with 1452's.

I hope someone is taking a video of the event, and next week

should be even better. Maybe I should hop on a plane next

weekend and see the record fall again. This is just a start

for the JAE boats and the new level that they will attain very

soon.

Great Set Up And Driving,

Mark Sholund

Thanks Mark. However I am not running a 1450. I was running a prop that my friend Aaron Alberico sent me. ;) No where near a 1452.

KP could make a record run with a pair of popsickle sticks. WAIT that what this thing looks like. Awesome job by JAE and KP Ps was it your 5 port Nova?

Ummm......Isn't that quicker than any other two lap time in IMPBA?
Yes,both records are......they both are the fastest 1/4mile 2 lap record runs ever recorded in IMPBA.......

I'd like to see video of those runs. Anyone know if the boats were hugging the bouys or going wide to keep speeds up? The IMPBA 1/4 mile course has a tight 15 foot radius.

Here is a video of a JAE.21 running........this will give you an idea on how well the JAE.21 turns..

no that is the boat i built a while back, i posted pictures of it then too..the boat rod sent me is what the production boat will be, it runs just the same..

I've sworn off the little riggers a dozen times now, but I might have to try them 1 more time from the looks of the vid and the stories from Rod. We need to get you to Greensboro and run that thing around a marked course sometime, put a radar gun and a stop watch on it.

that would be cool, just need to find the time..i have had the radar gun on it many times but would be fun to get on some bouys with a watch
