No "box" required.

This set up with two batteries has lasted me during a three day race weekend running 4 boats ( one of which is a 101 twin).

Mine is a metal tool box about 16" long..10" tall and 10" wide. The idea with this is it houses two 7ah gel cells, two plug caddies, two glow starters, plug and prop wrench and my starter. The reason this came about was so i could close the top for either rain or dusty conditions.

Most important.. It’s easy to carry and closes.

Sorry, this is the only pic I could find.. My buddy Jeffey by my side.

Easiest..... one of those nice tool totes from Lowes or Home depot. The ones with the canvas sides and hard bottom. They have many pockets on the outside and inside to put tools/stuff. Get one just big enough to hold a starter and a small start battery. Some of them have a carry handle that swivels down out of the way.

First of all ....thxs guys for the replies ..... i like the idea from Mike.

So i'm gonna use a Pelican box # 1450.

I also have a brand new Jersey Modeler 1.3 Gallon electric fuel system....will try to get that posted tonight as well.

The lipo starters are the best thing. I always ran two 12v 7ah gel cell but got rid of them cause they seemed to die every year.

Now I have two 4 cell lipo packs and rigged them up to a harness that runs them in series for the starter and parralell for the glow panel driver. Lot lighter than regular start batteries and smaller too.

Charged them before the two Fla races and started boats for a total of 7 days at the pond. Checked them when I got home and they still at 80% charge.

Like Phil said Lipo Cell pack with a cordless starter and glowbee all you need, you can get a real light carrying case if need be from Lowes
