Cleaned and prepped ready to epoxy . Instead of the light weight carbine fiber cloth I’m reinforcing with the heavy mesh carbine cloth with west system diluted with denatured alcohol for the first layer. Paper templates to get a better cut out on the cloth.

That’s what I did with my Eagle resurrection, in the engine and fuel bays, turned out nice and with good strength. Haven’t raced the beast yet, with our virus down time I’m going to finally get the last of my testing done. Hope we all get back racing sometime this year, want to unchain this thing!

Did you do the outside also ?
Dude post a pic !!!

Hi Charles, don’t want to dismantle my boat but have attached a pic of I don’t remember who’s but was where I got the idea from. Only thing I did differently was that I also covered the engine bay separating beam too and the back side of the bulkhead that separates the engine and fuel bays. And no, I didn’t add cloth to the outside of the hull, that would add more weight than preferable. If you wanted to go that route, think you would need to use thinner side pieces and sandwich that between carbon fibre cloth. I like carbon fibre for its strength but not so much from a visual ascetic.

With the 101s I’ve got plenty of power for the added weight also eagle twins are lighter weight boats than most ever though I’m not a fan of adding a lot of weight. Your overlay job looks good . That’s a super fast boat!!!

Hey Charles, do you know how the case sizes compare from the VAC 91 to the EVO 101’s? Are they larger?
The EVO is wide and short the VAC is long and narrow.

That’s almost laughable, those 101’s are some chubby beasts, it was a squeeze to get the VAC’s in there, pretty sure a pair of 101’s would never fit. Good luck getting your Eagle all shinny again.

Ya not enough room there wouldn’t be enough cowling left to work right lol

Carbine fiber Reinforcement cloth instead of fiberglass or microfilm.
