Just curious, are you willing to let us guys with larger E-Cats run in the open cat class??
If so, should we just check that class and note that we are E-powered??

Thanks
Yes, electric powered cats will run with the Gas Cats.
I just sent in my entry form and check today. I entered 1/8th scale (FE power) and open cat (FE power)!

Fun Fun,
Great! It will be fun to watch those FE race up against these Nitros and Gas boats.

It's only going to be fun if the FE's lose :p
I don't think you have much to worry about. I am quite sure you will still be :D @ the end of the day!

I know for us FE guys it will be fun just to get some race laps in!

Thanks for having us...

Sent the entries in for Paul and I today. 2 boats in 20 Tunnel, 2 boats in 40 Tunnel, 2 boats in RTR, and one in Sport 20. Sent an e-mail to Alfred using the [email protected] address and got an unable to deliver return. Hopefully, all this nasty weather in NorCal will be gone by the time we head down I-5. Seems like 5 weeks should be sufficient time for the weather to improve.

Great... Looks like we are starting a father son tradition with you guys. I am glad we can be a part of that.

Looks like we will have lots of new people "electrics" and "RTRs" as well as a few new boats that people are working on. Alfred and I looked at a scale boat that is a replica of one of the very first unlimiteds that is looking to make an appearance at the GPC this year.

We are also looking to make a better showing with the Twin Outrigger Class this year. We are pulling the parts together from the old 114mph Wonder Twin that has been resurrected from almost fatal wear and tear, thanks to Dave Bestpitch and friends.

We may have some surprised in-store as well.

speaking of father and son, my two sons, Brad and jeff, my step son Dylan, and I are running sport 21's at the grand prix in Feb.

Bob Tuttle

Mike McKnight and his son ran last year. Jeez, maybe Sport 20 needs to renamed "Sport Tuttle."
JD
I didn't mean to exclude anyone it's just that you guys hit the road and drive 12 hours to and fro. It's a not more of a road trip. There is along history of father and son teams in NAMBA as well as quite a few in D9. Hopefully we can continue and build on that tradition.

So....

Now that the Grand Prix Classic has evolved into a sort of Racer's Choice Regatta, I would like to get an idea of how many racer's from these additional classes should we expect.

Sound off and Represent!!!

Sport 21???

Gas Cat???

G1 Sport???

1/8th Scale Electrics??? (Running with Nitro 1/8th Scale Unlimited)

I'll be good for scale and RTR hydro. Can you run GX1 engines in the cat class?

Hey Roy,

With your little driver talking that smack I guess that means your going to be entering it?

The Gary Johnson GPC continues to grow and grow year after year. With still a month to go til the race we have already exceeded are previous years number of entries. You don't have to worry about a class limit here however. Send your entry in and we will fit you fit you in. It's all about family and fun at the GPC.

I heard the gas cat class is up to 25 entries.

Bold prediction.......Gas Classic Thunderboat will be offered as a class next year. I've seen and heard about a lot of new boats being bought and /or scratch built this year in D-9 B)
