Hi Fellas,
I recently purchased the new Spektrum DSM system and installed it in a JR R1 radio for use in 3 Seaducer boats. All aerials have been installed at 8.5" in length (from the Rx case)with the maximum vertical rise possible. Range testing on land appeared OK but range in the water seems to be sadly lacking. All three boats have suffered from lack of range whilst attempting to drive a normal oval course. Maximum range required under these circumstances would be 3-400 yards. In my boats I have found the system to be unreliable beyond about 40 yards. It is inconsistent, sometimes it will work other times it won't. As the concept of this system is great and has the potential to overcome many interference problems which we presently experience, I would like to know if anybody has used this system with success and if so what did they do to obtain reliable operation.
