We're having a special practice day on NEW Years day here in Huntsville, AL and a chance for all to say farewell to John Equi and a chance to show him our appreciation for all he has done to support model boaters from all over. Your all welcome to come. WEATHER PERMITTING!

Bill,

Would love to come New Years Day, and say good job to John, but 850 miles one way is to much to do for one day. I will see him this summer. If he shows up a race or practice.

I understand Walt, I'm sure John will still be around for some visits there is no way he can stay away after over 30 years of helping out and running model boat races!

Well we had our award ceremonty for John Equi today at the lake and a small get together at Outback afterwards and I think John was very happy. We gave him this plaque I found and had a friend use his lazer engaver to make the plate for it.

Bill,

A little gremlin told me you were the first to put a boat on the bank in 2014....

Is there any truth to that?..

Nope Rod , that was Doc he had the first boat in the water for 2014 and the first boat in the bank for 2014, Then Makr was the second boat in the water and the first boat to be picked up by the retrieve boat. I was the third boat in the water and the 1st boat that was brought back running!
