slow truning rigger

I have a betke rigger 21 and whn it turns she turns slow and wide and loses speed in coner. Now move the turn fin to the front of boat behind moter this will help it trun fast and sharper. Run fast in the straits and slow in the coner. I hope im wording this right for u guys to help me with this.

James, that is a very old rigger....it wont turn like the boats of today do.

There are others here that can probably help you out better with it. Just hang tight. But dont expect it to turn like a JAE.

I dont mind the wide truning real just dont like that it loses lots of speed in turns.

Now the left ski is 3.5 inch from the inside of the tub and the right is 3 inch from inside. I moved the turn fin forward to see if I get a change in truning and gain any speed in coner. Here is a few pics of boat.

Your boat will be more sensitive when you turn specially when you move the fin forward ;-) thats correct but you might also want to offset your sponsons the other way around turn fin sponson spread out more than the left sponson. and see what that does ;-) you will like it..

Can you get the fin any deeper?

Does it track straight with the rudder set neutral?

No fin wont go any deeper . And it tracks just fine down the staights.
