I've heard from numerous sources that Imron also requires special safety equipment and, to shorten drying time, an oven to get the best finish. That is the reason it's not used by many body shops any more, most changing over to PPG or equivalent
Dont breath the Imrom paints. Or you will be in the ground premature. Protect your breathing & your eyes. Imron can enter the body thru the lungs and can be absorbed thru your eyes. be careful with it. Same for the paints with add in hardner.

Do not shoot with any skin exposed.......found out the hard way that it can also be absorbed through the

skin and cause many of the same problems. Shot some several years ago with an OHSAA appoved respirator

and goggles but was wearing a tee shirt and holy jeans .... had flu-like symptoms and body aches for a

couple weeks afterwards.

Any of the polyurethane based automotive paints require good PPE.....positive pressure respirator is by far the best protection to use, especially if Imron is used...label says you are supposed to...the thing i like about 500S clear is that it will cover just about any kind of base color, including laquer, providing you give the laquer time to gas off....epoxy or polyurethane based paints and clears are by far the best protection you can use for nitro proofing....
