meant to add: the Rossi R80 RV Marine pipe shown above is an original release part purchased back in 1986.

I also own a few of the original Rossi R65 RV Marine tuned pipe's, however they are finished in black coating.

So it will be interesting to see what the new production piece's will look like, whether they will come coated or not?

There are only a few companies in Italy that produce tuned pipes. They make them for everyone. So, when it says Rossi on the box, it could have been made by a different tuned pipe manufacturer than a previous production run. This is the same for the other engine manufacturers as well. I was told that there are only three places to get tuned pipes produced in Italy, so you have to get in line to get the pipes you want produced.

I have visited different engine manufacturers and not one of them yet makes their own pipes. A pipe in a box branded with one manufacturer's logo might look just like a pipe with a different brand name on the box. And, one company's pipe could vary from run to run.

Great price. If you are looking for one of these pipes, buy them while you can. This is about 2/3 the wholesale price today.

which OPS pipe are you referring to? the current .90 marine pipe (5270)?

After a day at the Rossi factory, I can tell you a bit about their 80/90 speed pipe. Rossi has not produced any of the 80/90 Speed pipes in many years. After looking through the storage areas, there was still some stock on hand which I bought. They should be shipped next week.. These pipes are black and do not have a pressure tap installed.

We also met with a company that manufacturers tuned pipes for the Italian engine manufacturers. This company stays very busy and says that the customers should be patient. They will make an A/A 60/80 Speed pipe which I hope to have in stock this Fall. The gentleman who met with me knows the subtle differences between the various company pipes.

When the black coated pipes are sold, I will order polished pipes with pressure taps installed.

Once I get the freight charges, I will know what price to put on the black Rossi 80/90 Speed pipes.

The black Rossi 80/90 speed pipes arrived. The price is $80.00 delivered in the USA. I will bring some to Hobart.

Al, are you planning to aquire any of the .65/.67 size Rossi Speed pipes also?

I believe the original Rossi part No.'s were:

43/65 for R65 (or 11cc) engine

43/80 for R80 (or 13cc) engine

43/90 for R90 (or 15cc) engine

I left an example of a 67 nitro pipe at the Rossi facility. This is the same pipe that I was running in Twin Lakes. I hope to have a run of that pipe produced this fall and available for sale before Christmas.

I see, thanks Al. Is your example/sample 67 pipe an actual Rossi speed pipe? Or a different brand/model?
