I have this nice remote needle setup that needs a new o ring for the main assembly . Not sure of the manufacturer or who I got it from but would like to replace it . I think if I try to remove it it will self destruct . Anybody have any info ? Thanks !

Tom,

Bet ya if it did crumble on you that measurements could be taken to get you what you need Sir !

Have not seen that assembly before but have been faced with the same situation.

Cross section times 2 added to the ID will get you the correct ring. Easy to measure once old one is out of the way.

Just went through this on a old airline reel I had. All over looking for one to fit. Waste of time.

Measured it. Ordered them. Fit perfectly. Fixed it air tight again.

Measure the OD in groove to get orings ID. Measure the width of the groove X 2 and add to first measurement.

Mc Master to the rescue. You'll have plenty for rest of your life.

Yeah I will.investigate it , just thought somebody may have run across it . Going through stuff trying to get organized again after all my stuff getting scattered in the Hurricane. Thanks for all the replies .

All,

When I need them quickly I have found that Amazon has most of the Orings I need & no shipping charges.

Good Luck !!

This !

Order a kit of different size o- rings from Amazon…. Cheap!! At least it will give you a mix of different sizes to try for a few bucks…
Once you find the fit, then you can order better quality ones on McMaster if preferred..

Just went thru this with wire wiring grommets for a wiring project I was doing on my luv truck.. bought a kit for a few bucks,, figured out which ones I would use most and then ordered in quantity…😁👍
