I have remote needle valves for sale. I finally ran out of the ones I bought years ago from Kalistratov. The new ones are coming from Germany. The new ones are very similar to the Kalistratov needle valves.

The Germans sent me the parts. You have to assemble the needle valve. It will take you less than 10 minutes to put them together. They are available for small engines, up to 45, and for large engines, up to a cubic inch.

The price for a kit is $31.00 delivered in the USA.

Thanks!Talk to you later,

Glenn

The Kalistratov 3rd channel needle valve is the remote needle valve that CMDI was selling.

Yes, it is similar to the one in the photo. Not the same, but similar.

I got a call from John Otto last night. He purchased several of the remote needle valve kits and had put them together. John said that he thinks new boaters might have trouble pressing the needle into the assembly.

I think that John is correct. If you don't have a press, you will have trouble assembling the kit.

I'm going to give it some thought and possibly I will end up assembling these needle valves myself, or at least do part of the assembly.

If you are thinking about buying one of the kits, it should not be a problem for experienced boaters with a press. But, if are concerned about this, you probably should not buy one of these kits. I don't want anyone to waste their money on something they can't put together.

Al, maybe you could post a picture of this needle and parts?

Or, send some pics to me and I'll post....That way guys know what they're dealing with.

I'm interested in a few myself.....

Which part are you pressing in? Is it the nipple that sticks out 90* to the rotation of the needle?

Mike

No, the part that must be pressed in is the needle itself. It must be pressed into the metal part that has the nut shaped top. It is hollow and is a tight fit for the needle. If you don't have a press, you could easily ruin the needle itself.

Al,are the fuel nipples soldered in like the last K needles?

No, the nipples are not soldered into place. I recommend soldering them to avoid any air leaks.

Kalistratov did everything the best way he knew. We lost quite a model boater when he died.
