went and looked in the pool locker last night, www.planetfoam.com is a MAJOR supplier............ don't know about retail sales, though, but a phone # is listed.
 
pipe insulation foam sold at home depot or lowes will work also. but, pool nooldes are better, imho.
The pipe insulation you're referring to will hold water. Pool noodles are the shiznit for floatation IMHO. B)

Neither was I until a I saw it add over a pound and a half in weight to a 90 Sprintcat because they became water logged. :eek:

Its amazing how much the noodle will pick up over a period of time also- always good to keep it fresh - at least once a year with heavy use.,plus it looks better ;) Just my worthless .02 :huh:

i've never "stuffed" a hull with foam, just used it for flotation in cowls, so waterlogging wasn't a huge issue, & easily cured. ever since i learned what foam flotation can do to rot full sized boats, i've avoided it in my smaller stuff.
