Moved from the FE Forum:
I picked up a fiberglass SK mono hull and am building a recovery boat. Want to go twin screws and rudderless with electric power. Fast enough to get across the pond in a short time, pulling a rope and tennis ball or other flotation. Submerged struts and props.
Hull is 36.5" x 14.5" and fairly light, but will gain some weight with floorboards, stringers, hardware, etc.
I was going to use some PVC and foam with an old Sullivan Hi-Tork starter motor originally. Then saw this great looking SK for sale and decided to make something with a bit more style.
Motor/controller suggestions are appreciated - I don't have any experience with the electric - a nitro guy.
Thanks!
