Here's my 1/10 Scale Tempus.

I'm currently building a 1/8th scale miss tempus catamaran. Well more like finishing lol. Just have to mount the cowl and paint it and the decals/graphics.

Installed the water cooling tubes, covered the center section, made a cowling frame, and glued the cowling into the frame. Hoping to have it finished by late next week and test on the weekend.

The BOAT is getting close to being ready to paint. I'm going to use RUST-OLEUM flat gray primer and then gloss white. For the trim colors, more gloss white. The cowling and exhaust stacks are from Mitch Dillard's Hydroscale Creations. The exhaust stacks will be painted black before glued to the cowling.

The hull has one coat of primer and cracks are being filled with Bondo Spot and Glazing Putty. Hope to be able to apply the white final coating tomorrow.

Finished!! All systems plugged in and bench tested. Hoping to test tomorrow.

This was a very challenging build. Definitely a project for an experienced model builder. I enjoyed building the BOAT. It will be interesting to see how it runs. I make a modification to the sponson angle of attack.

That motor looks so tiny in there compared to a nitro engine. What was the RTR weight

Not sure, maybe around 5 pounds.

Ran the BOAT this morning. Had to move the battery from in front of the motor to the back of the motor. Very pleased with the speed and cornering. An ABC 1714R worked better than a 3 blade 42 mm diameter aluminum prop.

One of the guys in our nitro club who also has a 1/10 Scale Modern gave it to me. I'll check with him. I know it is not from Offshore Electric.

Hi Jerry-boat looks really good. This boat reminds me of Riverland in 89 when Jim Auguston entered his "BOAT" in concourse and poured oil all over the decks and added the tiny foot prints in the oil and said "that is just the way the real boat looked after a heat". The judges did not appreciate that but I thought it was really funny. I would like to see a video of your boat running.

Riverland in '89. Hard to believe that was 30 years ago. Paul was leading by a 1/2 lap in the 1/8 Scale Final with our Executone and spun the cable with a lap remaining The following week I went up to Gary Jensen's shop and got a square drive coupler. I talked to Auguston a couple of weeks ago and he said he didn't remember the greasy footprints he stamped on the BOAT. I asked if he had any photos of the full size BOAT, but have not heard back from him. Another thing I remember about Riverland in '89 was what a great time your daughter, Paul, and my daughter had together at that event.

OK, so I got a little off topic(maybe a lot off topic) but I did start the post.

Jeez, I did realize I hadn't posted any pictures. The BOAT is working very well. We'll find out how well it does tomorrow when I race it for the first time.

I had an opportunity to race the BOAT at Twin Lakes, Arlington, WA. RCU invited ERCU to be part of their event. The good news is the BOAT runs well and corners great. The bad news is the boat lacks straightaway speed. The good news is I have a couple of props with more pitch to test before the next race in 3 weeks. The BOAT finished 2nd five times. But, there were only three boats in the class.
