Glad you can make it Walt, think you'll bring Randy Crum along? He was a great help with parts for our outboard. :)

Terry & Mike,

I will be their Saturday morning after a week in MSP for training.

I have been doing a little testing and I hope Mother Nature is kind

Hi Terry,

Yup, I'll drag Randy along again. I'd like to come both days, but I would guess he's workin Saturday. It's time to get all of those boats out of storage. His customers are ready for their boats on the 1st nice day.

I know if I come Sunday, the water will be perfect on Saturday and visa-versa. I need to try for both days to get one good one.

Thanks and see ya there.

Basically says blowing hard from the south (R-L down the lake) all day, never know though, they called for wind this morning (Fri.) but Mike and I got 2 hrs. of glass to test on. Sunday looks like a good day after the big cold front goes through, here's Sun am:

Looks good Mike except got left on Belvidere off Saganaw, then L-R-L on Orville, I'm sure you'll remember when you get in the neighborhood.

Sitting here pondside at Thread Lake, winds not as bad as forcast. Mike Nowicki's playing with a new gas outrigger, Mike

Coppolini's getting ready to play.

Breeze is outta the south as advertized, supposed to swing to the west (behind us) as day goes on. Tomorrow's supposed to be great, we'll be here early...

Terry & Mike,

I am just getting in from MSP today, so I will be down bright and early

tomorrow morning. Weather looks good for Sunday records. :D

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Hello

Good luck tomorrow, I hope that the wind will be nice to you all.

Terry, maybe you could give us some pondside results?

Thanks

Jorgen

Well, any new records?

Today didn't look too bad on this side of the state, a lot better than Saturday.

My wife didn't let me know until after I signed up for weekend OT that she and her father were going up to see her brother in Flushing otherwise I might have gone along then snuck over to the lake.

Congratulations to Mike Nowicki for his new B Hydro record!

The water was really nice on Sunday when the wind settled down.

Mike made some beautiful passes with his B Hydro. Wow,was that thing smooth and fast! Mike had a 1 way pass of 103+ mph and a great backup pass to go with it. I believe the record now stands at 101mph+. I'm sure when Terry has a moment, he'll join in with the final numbers.

It was great to see everyone again and as usual, we had a fantastic time!

Also I enjoyed meeting a few people I've never met before. That's always fun!

I'd like to thank Terry, Mike and Mark for all of the hard work they do to host this great event.

Guys, Thank you!

I can't wait till the fall to do it again!

I'm beat as usual after one of these, but it's a good beat. Yup, had great conditions Sunday as promised, unfortunately couldn't take advantage of the good air early as it took longer than usual setting up the equipment. Learned to not put the sensors too low when dealing with a slight ripple on the pond and bright sunshine directly into the receivers. Moved them up a little and it all was rock solid all day.

Walt Radzinski was running his Whiplash SP20 in the low 60's but couldn't quite get 2 passes for the record, Mike Ross of "Suicidal Engines" was close to an LS27 Cat record but the big news is Mike Nowicki's B (3.5cc) hydro record. Testing on Friday and I knew it had potential but had no idea it would run 100 plus in only 97% air. Mike had a one way pass of 2.175 sec. or 103.448mph and his average two way submitted for the record is 101.902. As our southern firiends would say "it was strollin". Congrats Mike!

Thanks again to Mike Nowicki, Mark Stein and Mike Ross for all their hard work, look for pix on IW and a full report in our upcoming Roostertail!
