Sorry, didn't see your Q on that "other board".

Yup, we'll be there Friday weather permitting... ;)

Sounds good.

The other boat ran through the traps at around 11 sec., bet this one is faster!

Right now according to weather.com, Friday may be a washout but the weekend looks good with mild temps and overcast skies. You might want to dress warm for the mornings. This is Michigan though so long-range predictions sometimes don't mean squat.

Ron, quit whining and bring some boats to run...lol. "A bad day of boating is better than a good day at work" :p

Let's see, I'll have several toolboxes, an AC power inverter, a few power tools, a cooler full of pop, 2 or 3 dozen donuts plus a few boats for show and tell and I've got to have room for the Cat that's following me home! :)

A day out of that Zoo doing anything is a good day. I'm just happy being there shooting the breeze and pictures. If anyone forgot or needs something that I have, I'll be leaving early Saturday morning. Walt's got my cell phone number.

Just got a call from "The special guest" in Thread lake. Today was a washout, wind & rain. Sat & Sun should be good....

Well I am sure the cat is out of the bag by now, so I will inform all who don't know that the "Special guests" are Mark & Chris Grim from california. ;) I'am sure if the weather is good Sat & Sun that "Records will fall" :D

Don :)

PS Also heard that the SAW's at Lake X were rained out today

You didn't mention the other one, Carlo from CC Racing!

Mark Grim's boat was running 103 MPH passes last weekend during a dial-in session. A picture shown on Jim's had watermarks conveniently located over the front sponsons, mine won't!

Just getting ready to leave for the lake, should get some good 'ditions this morning, at least no more rain for the weekend apparently. :D

Yup, special guests Mark and Chris Grim arrived with "CC" Carlo Thursday night, had a couple "easy" runs on the big water late yesterday, I think they like it. ;)

Wally Duarte is back from NH with some smokin' cats, should be a good weekend! :D

Our IMPBA President Kevin Sheren is hangin' with us too...

Chris Grim drove the "CC" powered 26cc rigger to a new IMPBA record of 104.16 mph. :D :)

SUPER JOB, CONGRATS CHRIS & CARLO :) :) :) :)

Don :D

Way to go Mark and Chris. Very good considering that the wind there has been 14 to 18 MPH today. Tomorrow is only SUPPOSED to have wind of 8 MPH. Lets see what that 20 rigger will do. :p

Charles

any pics of some of the runs in flint?

who else is running and at what speed have they gotten to even if it is not a new record.

Save some of the records for Sunday!

I'll have shots and videos posted Sunday night somewhere.

First, a big thanks to the FAST crew for putting on another great event plus Kevin and Shannon Sheren for feeding everybody today.

It was breezy today but not as bad as yesterday but I don't think that any more records were set unless it happened after we left but several were really close. In all, 3 were set on Saturday but I'll let Terry or someone else give you the exact numbers and which records.

We had a blast meeting up with members of this site and Jim's.

I'm working on getting some pix and videos loaded now.

Congratulations Carlo, Mark, and Chris! People in other parts of the country need to realize the progress you and your dad have made in really fast riggers in the last few years,

First G1 gas hydro record over 100 mph - 104.94 mph November 2008

First 3.5 hydro record over 100 mph (still fastest now at 110.02 mph)

Fastest internal combustion engine powered radio controlled model boat - 124.30 mph

All timed two way records, not one way or GPS readings.

Hey gang,

Back from Flint and had a great time as usual. 5:00 AM came quick and definitely dragging butt in work today.

I just want to thank a bunch of people that made this event happen and the ones that made it just a bit better.

1st I need to thank the rest of the gang at the FAST Club.

Terry Keeley, Mike Nowicki, Mark Anderson and Mike Ross. Without you guys, and the hard work you do, this event would never happen. THANK YOU!!

Kevin and Shannon Sheren for coming out and feeding this great group for 2 days. The Grill was smokin!!!

Thanks a ton you two, we had a great time!! Matti thanks you too :) And also a big thanks for "the box" :D :p

To the Grims and Carlo, what can I say, you guys are a class act. Not only is your stuff 2nd to none, you shared your knowledge with us all. And especially for the help Mark and Chris gave to me. THANK YOU!!!

I hope to see you guys back again.

And to everyone else who came out, the new friends we made and the new faces to names, it was great to see you all.

I hope to see you all back in the fall. :)

Thanks again everyone!!! :)

Congrats Mark, Chris and Carlo. I new if the weather co-operated you would be setting a new IMPBA gas record . At 104.16, you guys didn't leave anything on the table. Well done. See you in November.

Mike
