radio range check

How far should I get with the antennae down on a range check? I probably got 250ft. I soldered the antennae back on the receiver that failed. Now it gets pretty far with the antennae down..

That sounds good, now use that for a standard and recheck when you go out to run. Radio systems can vary from that, I would be happy with 100 feet antenna down check.

what radio, anthony? the jr xs3? i just read my manual twice, no mention of a range check :blink: ....like phil says, at least 100', with the tx antenna down is the general rule i've heard.
