First test run after the new pipe and prop, night and day difference.


i'm having problems with it staying running and starting after it gets warm. i wonder if the coil is bad, its like 30 years old.

lean carb settings cause stalling most often. 2-1/8 out on the low, 1-1/8 out on the high.

Tried that, won't even start. Factory setting is 1 1/8 on high and 1 3/8 on low. Has a WA167A carb on it.

I would try 1 1/2 on low and high you could need a carb rebuild or possible new seals on the crank.Try richen it up first if it don’t idle lean it out but try the richen setting on high I haven’t run that carb in over 10 years.You could try a 257 carb there cheap enough plus bigger then what your running now.

So, I bought a carb rebuilt kit, while going through the carb, I found water in the carb. Bleh. At least I figured out the problem. Switching to the fuel bladder setup soon.

a carb upgrade would be a world of good. those carbs dont age well . also the 167 was trash from jump.

I kept trying to find info on the 167 and couldn't find anything, glad to know it's junk.
