My LUV truck has a 331 CI small block that I run Edelbrock RPM performer heads on it..
triple springs, comp cams solid lifters..
7500 rpm redline.. eats springs for lunch..

I can’t imagine what those guys turning 10k
use,, they must change springs every round..

Like the late model dirt racers use- double spring, conical, progressive, with light seat pressure and high open pressure....too much continuous pressure builds too much heat and failure is high. Spring spray oilers are a necessity to keep the springs cool.
Triple wound is a thing of the past.
