So you would start at leading edge then move inward with measurements at different spots then move up the blade away from the hub to get a better feel for overall pitch ? I have had trouble launching with props that have more leading edge pitch .Tom,
It all depends on what you want to measure and reference as important.
If you look at Terry’s picture above in post #13 it looks like he is measuring
Leading Edge Pitch. To some that is an important measurement to how fast
your boat is going to go. With the Wood gauge you can measure this real easy.
You are only going to go as fast as you can rotate your Leading Edge Pitch right?

Done:Terry, have you made any progress on the project you were working on a few months back? It started out as a mystery project and you had some X&Y axis slides made...maybe I missed it.
