Here's a couple from Belle Isle, Detroit, around 1982. The geared twin was running a couple of, I believe, modded Super Tiger G65's, running through straight cut gears to a single shaft, awesome sound. The engraved aluminum plate read "Here lies Momma's mink". Hope I got the picture file size right this time....

And look it has stub pipes. The noise police - tree huggers would not like that now.

That's kewl!

Must be an old John Bridge boat or maybe Ron Walker?

Pictures from Julian's visit to Oak Ridge TN. The Knoxville Gang spent Sunday watching Julian's Twin MAC 21 rigger. This boat is every bit as fast as a 60 Hydro. Great pictures taken by Tammy White from the Knoxville Gang.

Here's another geared twin from that 1983 Belle Isle race. A pair of OPS, straight pipes, running through the same gear configuration. With today's materials and vast selection of large props ...could you build a geared twin today and make it competitive?? Maybe not the "damn the torpedoes" approach with .91's but maybe a pair of .67's, a bit of overdrive, hmmmmmmm........
